The beautiful natural surroundings of the Ooijpolder are perfect for hiking and cycling, offering a refreshing change of scenery from the hustle and bustle of city life. Exploring these surroundings felt like stepping into a serene paradise. The Charlemagne provides a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for unwinding with your favorite drink. It felt like being in a hidden gem, with its comfortable seating and warm ambiance.
Bathroom in need of renovation.

Location was good for me, youngest of us. Not to far from centrum. Easy to find late at night. Good neon-light on top of Hotel. Vending-machines for cold drinks on every floor. Good breakfast. Got smoking-room. A tribble +.
Old facileties. Not all that is mentioned in Booked.net is there. Bad oportunetetys of English-spoken channels on telly. 4-star is a bit high, as Grand Hot in Amsterdam got 4 stars as well. BIG difference.

The rooms are spacious, the staff is attentive, the location is convenient for visiting tourist spots like the Valkhof Museum, and the breakfast offers a variety of options.

The location was okay however the hotel is over rated, no where near a four star as advertised. The walls in the junior suites we stayed in were all stained with what looked like drink. The hotel is very tired and needs an upgrade.
The breakfast was good and the location was pleasant.

Staff were friendly, rooms comfortable although wardrobe could be bigger. It was nice to have English channels on the TV
The parking could be expensive if back early from a day out - should be a concession for guests.

The suite was absolutely mind-blowing! Super spacious with a jaw-dropping view and underfloor heating. The staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. Lots of storage space in the bathroom, and parking in front of the hotel was cheaper. The location was great, and we enjoyed the free Wi-Fi, bar/lounge area, restaurant, swimming pool, flat-screen TV. We will definitely be back in 5 years!

Good size room - we had a junior suite
The room was filthy. We changed rooms and the next one was also filthy. We were given a kettle but there was no coffee. The coffee cups at breakfast also extremely small and too small to take a cappucino so coffee spills over the side. The butter packets were mixed with used ones - attention to detail not so great in this hotel. The chairs have cigarette holes and the carpets are stained. The hotel needs desperate upgrading, and new personnel perhaps. You must also pay for parking, which gets expensive on an hourly rate. I wasn't aware of this before I arrived. Would not recommend this hotel until it has been cleaned, and the hotel newly fitted out. Was also woken early in the morning by the delivery men.

For the price we paid, our stay at the hotel was definitely worth it. The room was comfortable and clean, and we had plenty of space to relax. The location was also great, with easy access to the city center and public transportation. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast could have been better with more variety.

Good, comfortable beds
Bathroom and total 'look and feel' makes me think of the seventies. Could use a renovation, at least the part we were put into.

Our deluxe double room had been upgraded to a suite. This made an excellent base as we were visiting our son who is studying at Raboud University.
The lighting in our accomodation was very minimal. Plenty of table lamps but little main lighting.
